the artfest creative flow continues

I completed this on a spare piece of red rosin paper that Lynne Perrella let me keep at the end of our class....came home really inspired and got right to work. it's amazing how things flow out of you once you GET STARTED. also, it helps that I kept telling myself that this is just practice and I can't screw it up.

this is a close up of her scales. I painted them with Lumiere paint...
what do ya think?

thanks for stopping by  ;)

more journal pages

I have been so inspired to draw ever since my class at JournalFest (Oct 2011) with the wonderfully fabulous Lisa Cheney-Jorgenson. I have always loved drawing but that class really changed things for me -Thank you Lisa!

This drawing I just jumped in and did....

This drawing I remembered to apply what I had learned in Lisa's class
here's the drawing with all the painting finished

some quick sketches while watching March of the Penguins for the first time. I found the penguins' story to be so inspiring and beautiful...

namaste,
Dawn
